Sing 2 is an animated sequel packed with fantastic music from beginning to end. Here's every song in the movie, ranked from worst to best.
Every Song In Sing 2's Soundtrack
38 Hit Songs Are In Sing 2
As was the case with Sing 2’s predecessor, Sing, the Sing 2 soundtrack is a mix of hits mostly sung by the incredible Sing 2 cast with some songs featured in their original state, sung by the original artist. Also, similar to Sing, some songs in the Sing 2 soundtrack are covered so impeccably that it’s hard to tell if it’s the original artist or the Sing 2 cast.
- “Let’s Go Crazy” by Prince – Rosita sings Prince’s classic “Let’s Go Crazy” in the opening sequence of Sing 2. Main characters Johnny, Meena, and Gunter join in during their production of Alice in Wonderland. The song is the first of the many ensemble-sung numbers in the Sing 2 soundtrack and features the voices of Reese Witherspoon (Rosita), Taron Egerton (Johnny), Tori Kelley (Meena), and Nick Kroll (Gunter).
- “Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd – Kiana Ledé gives voice to a rabbit singing The Weeknd’s hit “Can’t Feel My Face” while Buster, Rosita, Johnny, Meena, and Gunter spy on the talent scout from the theater’s scaffolding.
- “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John – Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” is heard after Buster Moon chases down the talent scout’s taxi on his bicycle and winds up in the river. The original track sung by Elton John is featured in Sing 2.
- “Heads Will Roll” by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Rockstar porcupine, Ash, (voiced by the MCU’s Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson) sings the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s “Head’s Will Roll” when she is performing during her rock show.
- “Holes” by Mercury Rev – The original track, “Holes,” plays by Mercury Rev while the bus takes Mr. Moon and the team to Redshore City to audition for Mr. Crystal. The ensemble is seen rehearsing in the back of the bus en route to the audition.
- “bad guy” by Billie Eilish – Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” plays as Meena dresses up as the janitor of Crystal Entertainment, Ricky, and sneaks the team into the audition. It is a sly song considering the group is planning what almost looks like a heist.
- “…Ready for It?” by Taylor Swift – Mr. Moon peeks out from the stage curtain as two bulls dance for an audition to Taylor Swift’s “Ready for It?” (Sing featured another of Taylor Swift’s hits, “Shake It Off.”) This is the first song in the Sing 2 soundtrack’s Sing 2 Audition Medley.
- “My Name Is” by Eminem – Three small chicks pop out of a chimney during the cast-sung second song in the Sing 2 Audition Medley: Eminem’s hit, “My Name Is.” The entire moment was played as a visual gag, and using Eminem topped it off.
- “Abracadabra” by Steve Miller Band – The Sing 2 cast also sings “Abracadabra” by Steve Miller Band for the Sing 2 Audition Medley while a chimpanzee and a turtle perform a magic show.
- “She Bangs” by Ricky Martin – A hippopotamus in tropical garb sings Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs” for the fourth cast-sung song featured in the Sing 2 Audition Medley.

The 10 Best Movies Like Sing 2
From merry musicals to thoughtful coming-of-age stories, these are some handpicked recommendations for viewers who adored Sing 2.
Will Sing 3 Happen?
What We Know About A Sing Sequel
According to Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri, Sing 3 is in production. He said his company is working on sequels in the Shrek and Secret Lives of Pets franchises. He then touched on making another Sing movie. Meledandri said Illumination is “deep into development” on Sing 3. "It will involve characters from the original cast, but it will take us into a new world," he said. This makes sense since the movie made $400 million at the box office during the pandemic.
Matthew McConaughey wants a musical number for himself in Sing 3.
The pseudo-after-credits scene in Sing 2 illustrates that the characters still have plenty of life left to continue the franchise. Likewise, some of the main voice cast like Matthew McConaughey, Tori Kelly, and Scarlett Johansson, all expressed willingness and even keen interest in doing a sequel, with McConaughey hinting in an interview with CinemaBlend that he'd like his character, Buster Moon, to get a musical number of his own next time around.
How The Sing 2 Songs Compare To The First Film
Sing 2 brought In Some Major Musical Talent To The Cast
While 38 songs in Sing 2 seem like a lot, there were even more in the first movie. The first Sing movie had an astonishing 64 songs (with 23 on the official soundtrack). The quality of music in the two movies was pretty equal, with just as many popular hits in the original as in the sequel. Both movies had Taylor Swift songs ("Shake It Off' in the first movie) and classic hits (the first movie featured Queen's "Under Pressure" and Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors").
However, what made the songs from the first movie special was the cast's singing of them during the stage show. In that aspect, Sing 2 excels over the first movie for two big reasons. The sequel cast three-time Grammy nominee Halsey to play Porsha and U2 frontman Bono as Clay Calloway. The latter allowed no less than three U2 songs to appear in the movie and came out to sing "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" with Scarlett Johansson's Ash in the final big music moment in Sing 2.

- Summary:
The new chapter in Illumination’s smash animated franchise arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as the ever-optimistic koala, Buster Moon, and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza yet …all in the glittering entertainment capital of the world. There’s just one hitch: They first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star—played by global music icon Bono, in his animated film debut—to join them. Buster (Oscar® winner Matthew McConaughey) has turned the New Moon Theater into a local hit, but Buster has his eyes on a bigger prize: Debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City.
But with no connections, Buster and his cast—including harried mother pig Rosita (Oscar® winner Reese Witherspoon), rocker porcupine Ash (Scarlett Johansson), earnest gorilla Johnny (Taron Egerton), shy elephant Meena (Tori Kelly) and, of course, porcine provocateur Gunter (Nick Kroll)—have to sneak their way into the world-famous Crystal Entertainment offices, run by ruthless mogul wolf Jimmy Crystal (Emmy winner Bobby Cannavale).
In a desperate attempt to get Mr. Crystal’s attention, Gunter spontaneously pitches an outrageous idea that Buster quickly runs with, promising that their new show will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway (Bono). Problem is, Buster has never met Clay, an artist who shut himself away from the world more than a decade ago after the loss of his wife. Even worse, Buster has failed to realize that Mr. Crystal is an egocentric gangster who would rather drop somebody off the roof of a building than be lied to.
As Gunter helps Buster dream up an out-of-this-world theatrical masterpiece, and the pressure (and sinister threats) from Mr. Crystal mount, Rosita’s leading role in the show gets ripped away and handed to Mr. Crystal’s spoiled daughter, Porsha, played by Grammy-nominated artist Halsey. Desperate to save the show, and his life, Buster embarks on a quest to find Clay and persuade him to return to the stage. What begins as a dream of big-time success becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart
