This is an entry level position related to the invoicing, collections, and analysis of financial accounts.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Assists with shared services functions related to nonstudent accounts receivable.
- Receives requests for customer invoices from campus departments and creates invoices in Kuali Financial System.
- Provides front-line financial services and customer service support related to collections activities for nonstudent invoices.
- May make and receive phone calls and emails to financial account holders to request payments or negotiate payment plans to avoid accelerated collections.
- Analyzes and explains financial accounts by phone and via e-mail.
- Responds to inquiries relating to fees and charges, third-party sponsored accounts, and other financial charges.
- Reviews bursar and customer accounts for accuracy; analyzes disbursem*nts and credit balances and initiate necessary corrections or adjustments.
- Monitors financial accounts to ensure the required corrections are made and verify accuracy.
General Responsibilities
- Under supervision, performs routine administrative tasks related to bursar accounts, such as applying tuition and fees and processing payments.
- Audits bursar accounts and payments to ensure compliance with deadlines and applicable regulations; communicates discrepancies to supervisor and may assist with routine corrections.
- Fields emails and phone calls, responds to inquiries and requests, and explains policies and procedures.
- Helps students, parents, employees, sponsoring organizations, departments, and other constituents understand billing information, including deadlines, interest, payment plans, fees, and processes.
- May serve as a resource to lower-level Bursar Assistants and university constituents.

Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
RequiredWORK EXPERIENCE
- 2 years in relevant field.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work) after initial training requirement is completed, subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
$40,000 annually.
